I'm sitting here watching E's live from the red carpet of the 2011 SAG Awards, so why not inform my readers who aren't tuned in about some of the hottest gowns, oh yeah, and celebrities that spend thousands to have the top designers exclusively design there high slit gowns. The show has yet to begin, and to be honest I am not even sure if I'm going to watch the actual show, my television and computer time is limited due to my grounding that may last for the rest of my life. But the good thing about my little situation (I have been racking my brain to find the good in all this) is I have stacks of Vogue's and my Devil Wear's Prada book to fill up the time that use to be dedicated to sitting in front of my TV.
But enough of my dramatics; the celebs are turning heads, and bring smiles at the moment to all on the red carpet. I have seen at least 5 dresses that I have said "I will wear that to prom." Not saying that the dresses are prom inspired looks, just stating that I'm a high school student, with a limit amount of places to wear a long expensive gown. And if you are familiar or have ever seen an award show of the A list celebs you would know that majority of the time when the women of the night aren’t being interrogated by reporters, they are avoiding stepping on their extremely long floor touching dress.

Long gowns are appropriate for this evening, but I'm honestly tired of seeing them, tough luck for me considering its award season. It may be because of my pet peeve for simplicity and hate for everything elegant events; I just can't take seeing everyone following the rules. The Golden Globes, which occurred one week prior to this show, even had more variety than the SAG’s, Helena Bonham Carter even had the same color shoes on tonight! Not that I’m complaining her look happen to be my favorite of the night (and not to mention one of the only dresses don’t picking up carpet dirt). But the long dresses didn't stop many of the stars from lifting up their dresses, and sliding there leg threw the high slits to show off their poor, poor shoes which didn’t get their chance to shine. I would rather some ladies show up in suits, maybe even a ankle length dress, I'm not saying all women should not wear long gowns to this event, I was just disappointed that not more women decided to stand out. But enough of my angry tirade, clearly being stuck in this house is getting to me, but I still loved a lot of the gowns, and I have chosen to show just a few of the stand out women and men that worked the red carpet right (but safe).
