Everybody Loves Zara

Fashionista's now hit the street with a designer bag that cost 5 times as much as the equally chic pants they get for a bargain from a “little store” called Zara.  It's nice seeing Fashion's elite with the same skirt or shoes as you.  I’ve recently been giving my saved lunch money to the cashiers at Zara, with a growl in my stomach but a warm feeling of a perfect purchase.  For me, looking at the receipts leaves me only with one thought, "Money well spent."

Top Shop Python Pumps, (Black H&M Maxi Dress, Vintage Kenzo Vest, Wide Brim Hat)
This look is for the H&M shopping event to kick everything off.  What do you think?

To close what should be an AMAZING weekend, I thought I would end the weekend on a good note at the Top Shop event.  You think I'll leave a good impression with this one?
These looks are all just something to think about, I change my mind at least twice a day

If I Had A Million Dollars

Clinch my waist but blow out the skirt below the knee, my spring 2012 wish list has taken a heavy preference to a tiny little waist and show some legs.  Now that I've identified my preference, let’s play pretend.  Let's say I have a million dollars, of course majority of that million would be invested in my closet, assuming that I would make more money there then in the stock market so it’s a sound investment.  Well with this new found wealth I've put together a few items that can only rise in value and increase my stock in the fashion industry.  So here it is my million dollar closet that may make me a million dollars lighter but a closet full richer.
Emilio Pucci
Going dancing requires you to look just as sexy as you feel, which is why the crop tops and vibrant high wasted skirts are the perfect pieces for a hot night out
Erdem
A hat that shows the true essence of style, and a loose fit dress that flows perfectly giving me room to move through the isle of Saks to “invest” the rest of my million
Marni
Proportion and prints play a major roll in why I fell in love with these looks which I would fondly sport to school awaiting the awkward looks in the hallway
Reed Krakoff
Fashion week front row, I'm a millionaire right?  A front row seat and a snapshot leaving the show can only be taken in one of these wonderful looks
Bottega Veneta
Lunch in the city never looked so glamorous (or so bright), I can bring color or a couture look to any table
Jil Sander
For a walk in the park, a full skirt flatters the cropped graphic sweaters pairing nicely with a church hat and woven booties
Marchesa
A cocktail affair, a nice addition to my evening wear the body conscious pieces fit at all the right spots while the fabric falls in a glamorous manor

Versace
I'm thinking of sporting these fantastic pieces somewhere near the water, and saving the shoes for the night time dancing I'll do off the shores of St. Thomas

Cindy Sherman- Playing The Part

The Blogger Before The Blogs
After receiving my SLR camera in August for my birthday, I've been a bit obsessed with photography, specifically fashion photography.  Exited to know more about this art, I'm now taking yet another FIT Pre College class that lays out the basics of digital photography.

Today was my first day of class and already I've learned a few things and have gotten inspired by some of the best photographers of my time as well as the past. As my professor showed us pictures from the thick books stacked on top of each other, we all sat on the edge of our seats as if our professor was our 2nd grade teacher and we were the hopeful elementary school students that wanted to know what happen to Rapunzel and her long locks.

Rapunzel took a backseat to this blonde/black/brunette haired beauty and talented photographer, Cindy Sherman.  What Sherman did in Black and White us bloggers would die to do in color and style.  Carefully creating each one of her shoots she captured herself playing a roll unlike her persona.  Taking the 70’s and New York City by storm with her iconic prints, Sherman captured the American women in every possible way she could, she didn’t just take a photograph she painted a picture.

Single Black Female Addicted To Retail

One of my favorite Kanye West songs featuring in the video the beautiful Stacey Dash

A Saturday afternoon and a football game to attend, my friends suggested casual, I suggested something chic.  I think I put together a nice balance of both traits.  Showing off my new favorite boots again, this look makes me feel a bit bad ass.

Levi Denim Jacket, H&M Sweater, Silence & Noise Jeans, Bandolino Boots, Giorgio Armani Sunglasses
