The Best of BAC

Ohhh & My Latest Youtube Video, I Guess You Can Say It's My Best One Too
______________________________________________________
What's the first thing that comes to mind when visiting my blog?  I always try and take the perspective of those who read my blog on a daily or even of those who may have just recently stumbled across BAC for the first time.  Scrolling through my blog I decided to checkout all of my outfit post with fresh eyes, and evaluate how I have evolved.
With no specific theme or expectations, I started my blog November 14th, 2011 and since then I’ve learned more than I could have ever hoped in less than a year at the hands of my own computer.  I formed my own opinion of what fashion and style is about, I didn’t have an internship with an icon who told me the do’s or don’ts, I figured those out on my own, and I’m still figuring  it out as I go along.  I feel a sense of pride when I view a collection and give my point of view to only notice that a big time editor felt the same exact way.  The knowledge I have absorbed in such a short period of time makes me feel as if this is second nature, like fashion is my idea of common sense.
Below is a collection of my favorite outfit post, a rare feature on my blog.  However with the popularity of my outfit post I may offer a bigger peak into my closet, there’s nothing more original to add to a fashion blog than personal style right?  Just because I may include more photos of me, I wouldn't say I'm completely selling my soul to the blogging world and just giving my audience what they want to see.  I plan on continuing to report fashion news, feature outfit collages, and critique collections, this still and will always remain Bobbie Austin's Closet!  However I want to get a bit more personal, not only talk about fashion, but show everyone how I live in it, and how it effects me on a daily!  Change isn't such a big thing; the proof is in the pictures.

My Love Letter To Fall

That time of year thou mayst in me behold
When yellow leaves, or none, or few, do hang
Upon those boughs which shake against the cold,
Bare ruined choirs, where late the sweet birds sang.
In me thou see’st the twilight of such day
As after sunset fadeth in the west;
Which by and by black night doth take away,
Death’s second self, that seals up all in rest.
In me thou see’st the glowing of such fire,
That on the ashes of his youth doth lie,
As the deathbed whereon it must expire,
Consumed with that which it was nourished by.
This thou perceiv’st, which makes thy love more strong,
To love that well which thou must leave ere long.

Rachel Zoe's Projects

Rachel Zoe in Harper's Bazaar
I don't know if you’re aware, but I have been bed stricken for the past couple of days with a cold that seems to be infecting my whole town.  But being sick isn't all bad, I've had the house to myself and I've been able to get a lot of stuff done.  Catching up on my magazine reading, finalizing my plans for Teen Vogue Fashion University, I even made business cards for my blog, all while watching my new favorite obsession-The Rachel Zoe Project.  Having never watch the show, I thought I would give it a chance, and then another, and another.  I'm now about 13 episodes in and "OMG I DIE," Rachel is great, she is a style genius.  We both share the same amount of love for fashion and it keeps both of us going each and every day; reminding me so much of the person I hope to be.  Maybe not a fashion stylist, but she's much more than that anyway, more like a permanent member of Fashion's elite squad.  She's brought so much style and fashion to LA, red carpets will never be the same.

Cross Here

My Saturdays recently have, to say the least, been a bit dull and unproductive.  The couch had became my new best friend; the remote and television felt almost like distant cousins I hadn’t seen in a while and dropped everything to catch up with.
However this Saturday I played Bingo, went running, hung out with friends around town, and finished off the night eating pizza and watching movies with my girls.  Okay so I may not be living the life of a rock star or a glamorous girl in the fashion fast lane (yet), but my productive day was full of laughs and smiles, which was good enough for me.
I smiled as I hung out at a local retirement home-in my Stripped Ralph Lauren sweater, True Religion jeans, loafers, and knitted hat-laughing as my new friends yelled out Bingo and showered me and the rest of the volunteers with compliments.  Enjoying the nice weather, my friend and I pushed our limits running a few miles up and down hill.
A shower and a cat nap later I found myself in the middle of a traffic circle a few blocks from my house snapping photos of my friends and getting a few candids of myself too.  To top it all off, we had pizza and a movie in my friends basement.  In two square miles of a town, I'd say today was a success.  Not really how I’m use to spending my Saturday’s, I’d say it’s a medium between my most recent weekend and my past one’s,  but it's something I can get use to (maybe on a Sunday instead).

Holding Onto High Fashion

Chanel Iman looks fierce for Wonderland Magazine Sept/Oct 2011 issue.  After coming across these photos I knew I had to add them, as it showed luxury at its finest, high fashion still is beautiful.  A denim pair of shorts will never compare to a Versace dress and Jeffrey Campbell Litas will never replace the beauty or quality of a Giuseppe Zanotti boot.  Though I love a nice pair of Levi destroyed shorts and simply adore my Litas, if the 67 cents in my account magically grew a significant amount, quality would outweigh quantity and Saks would replace LF, just as fast as Christian Louboutin would replace Aldo.  I have no problem working within my means, but it’s always nice to dream.

The Unkept Coner

I took a few pictures of my outfit today with a little spare time on my hands before my busy Tuesday night television schedule which includes Glee, The New Girl, and if I'm up late enough (with the amount of homework I have, I will be) old 90's Nickelodeon shows.  My windows and dusty corner was used as the backdrop for these photos, giving it a bit of an urban feel flowing cohesively with my outfit.

Soho Sunday

If it was up to me, I would spend every day in the city, specifically in Soho.  But unfortunately I'm Jersey stricken and value the time I spend in New York.  This Sunday my dad offered to take me and some friends to Soho to pick up a few things.  Stopping in Zara, Mango, the Dr. Marten store, and a few other places I found myself only really interested in one store.  Topshop of course!  Where I found this floral sleeved black jumper I can’t wait to wear, which is probably why today in school was full of daydreaming about this special outfit.
